Meet the Team

  • Chris Pousseur

    TEAM

Hi! My name is Chris. I'm from Upstate New York (not NYC) and came to Japan in 2017. I love to create! I like to sculpt, draw, create space, make furniture, write, and make opportunity conversations. I also really love my family, my dog, and crunchy potato chips (especially spicy ones!) I look forward to helping to create things here at Shalom House.

  • Tracy Pousseur

    TEAM

My name is Tracy Pousseur, I am from the US, I am married to Chris (also Shalom House staff) and have two daughters.  I have lived in Tokyo since 2017. I love making Shalom House a place for people to come, grow deep friendships, find rest from the fast paced life, explore their creativity and have fun together.

  • Anna Rosengren

    SEND

I was born in Minnesota in the United States but moved to Japan as a young adult. While always having an appreciation for art, it wasn’t until I went through a really stressful season and discovered doing art could be a form of therapy. I've always thought that art is the best way to share one inner feelings and thoughts without having to use words. I'm excited to connect with people through exploring different ways of being creative.

  • Kim Lath

    CTEN

Howdy and chom reap sour (hi in Khmer)! Although originally from Cambodia, all but one year of my life has been in Texas, which I reckon makes me more Texan than Cambodian. This blend of cultures has shaped my perspective, especially when it comes to art. My image of art used to be the stuff of boujee museums, but now I see it as the process of giving random elements meaning and purpose.

  • Kuni Onishi

    JEMS

I grew up in Japan, but I’m half Korean and half Japanese. I also spent a good chunk of time in the U.S. I love running, eating delicious food, and of course, coffee!

  • Kristen Onishi

    JEMS

My name is Kristen Onishi. I was born in South Korea but grew up in the US since middle school. I am married and have three children: two daughters and one son. I lived in Japan for 1.5 years after college as student missionary and moved to Japan with the family in 2016. I love making Shalom House a place where people can feel at home and find rest as they enjoy hanging out together.
